Security is our top priority at legit.org so we take a thorough look at what features are in place. We were pleased to uncover 256-bit SSL encryptions. These are used to protect your personal details, passwords, and banking details.
You can tell if a site is secure as it will have an ‘s’ after the ‘HTTP in the URL, and there may also be a padlock. If you don’t see this then it is a red flag. 256-bit encryption is the best that is available and not all betting sites use this. From a legit point of view, this is excellent.
We also like that you need to verify your account early on. All players will be asked to do this, but FansBet is very upfront about it, showing they take your security seriously. You will need to send a valid ID and proof of address. This means that no one can open an account in your name without these.
Licence
Included in our security checks are licence reviews. FansBet boasts a licence from the United Kingdom Gambling Commission (UKGC) which means it can operate in the UK.
Their UK licence is held by Argyll Entertainment AG. This company operates other sports brands in the UK such as Sports Nation. It means they are responsible for UK operations, but they do not own the site. FansBet Ltd is the owner but outsources their licence.
This is more common than you might think and is perfectly safe. The site is still required to meet all the rules relating to its UK licence.
A further sign of a trusted site is having more than one licence. FansBet is also licenced by the Malta Gaming Authority. This is a respected licence provider and one that is known to be very strict. We like multiple licences as it shows a company can meet the demands of more than one authority.
Protection of Funds
FansBet meets the requirements for level: not protected for protection of player funds. The UK requires sites to hold players money separately from that of the company. This gives you some protection in the case that the site goes into administration and is an unlikely scenario.
Although the ‘not protected’ status can look ominous, it doesn’t mean your funds are not safe. If a company does fall into liquidation your funds may also be returned to you, it is not a guarantee that they won’t, but it’s also not a guarantee that they will.
Most betting sites meet the ‘medium’ rating in our experience with only a few such as Betfair and Paddy Power meeting the top rating. Several top sites sit within the ‘not protected’ level so it shouldn’t be a deciding factor when joining a site, but something to bear in mind.
Responsible Gambling
Staying in control of how much time and money you spend on a betting site can be assisted with responsible gambling tools. You’ll find a selection of tools on all betting sites and for our FansBet review, we explored what was on offer.
You can manage your activity by:
- Setting deposit limits: Either daily, weekly or monthly
- Manage time with reality checks: To pop up every 15 or 30 minutes
- Do a self-assessment: Answer a few easy questions to discover how safe your habits are
- Take time out: Block your FansBet account for a period of 24 hours 7 days, 1 month or 6 weeks
- Self-exclusion: Block your FansBet account for a minimum of 6 months
On top of these tools, FansBet also provides a great array of helpful links such as Net Nanny to protect minors and GamCare.
We’re satisfied with the responsible gambling section of the site and it is in line with what other betting sites provide.
All players can take advantage of limits. We recommend you check out the tools on offer to ensure that you always play responsibly.

New players in the UK can get a £10 free bet when they deposit and place a £10 accumulator. There are a few rules to be eligible for the promotion, but this mostly comes down to the qualifying bet.
You need a minimum of 3 selections in your bet and each of these must be at odds of 3/10 (1.3) or higher. In our opinion that is reasonable as most markets will be above the minimum odds.
There are no payment restrictions, but that is partly because FansBet only accepts debit cards as a means of depositing.
Once the bet is settled, you will receive your free bet. Your free bet has the same requirements as the qualifying bet (3 legs with minimum odds of 3/10 each) so be sure to add these to your slip or the free bet option will not be available.
We were very pleased to see the addition of 10 free spins too. These are to be used in ‘Book of Dead’. If you’ve never played at an online casino this is one of the most popular slots.
For both the free bet and the free spins there are no wagering requirements. This is what makes this offer stand out. It means that whatever you win from your rewards, you keep. It is common for betting sites to impose wagering on bonuses, so this is excellent.
It’s worth pointing out that there is a maximum win amount for both. £100 is the maximum win amount for both bonuses combined. We see this as good value.
As the maximum win amount is £100 try to keep your total odds in your free bet accumulator to 10/1 (11.0) to avoid missing out on extra winnings.

Existing Player Offers

We always look to check what other promotions are open to players, and we discovered there are four sports offers:
Day | Requirement | Reward |
---|---|---|
Tuesday | Place 4 x £5 virtual bets (min. odds 1.6) | £5 virtual bonus |
Wednesday | Bet £50 on in-play trebles (or higher) min. odds 1.5 per leg | £10 risk-free bet (once settled) |
Saturday | Bet £20 on a 4 fold min odds 1.4 each | £5 free bet |
Sunday | Place a bet builder. Min 4 selections at 1.5 min odds each | Up to £20 Free Bet if your bet wins |
We included them in a table because there are quite high requirements to get the rewards. Although, of course, the offers are still good.
These offers are available each week and come with their own set of terms and conditions. You can find these on the dedicated promotions page.
In comparison with other betting sites, we rate the ongoing offers highly. It’s great to see that the promotions are clearly listed and the terms are all standard.
FansBet Sports Betting

FansBet has an excellent range of sports on offer, and they are all clearly listed on the left-hand menu. At the time of writing, the Olympics 2020 sports are listed which increases the number of total sports to over 40, which is an incredible amount.
The top 7 sports listed are:
- Football
- Horse racing
- Greyhounds
- Tennis
- Golf
- Cricket
- Rugby Union
These are UK focused which is nice to see for players from the UK. There are more obscure markets such as:
- Chess
- Equestrian
- Water Polo
- Gaelic Hurling
So, it’s also got a range of sports which can attract many players.
The set-up and navigation are excellent, and we’re really impressed with how easy it is to fill the betslip. It clearly shows your potential winnings when you enter a stake, and the bet types are shown.
In terms of market depth, we opened several football markets and saw hundreds of betting opportunities. While some betting sites offer over 500 markets, FansBet provides around 150. However, we still think the options are good.
Maximum Payouts

Top European leagues and cups | £500,000 |
International football | £500,000 |
Other football | £100,000 |
UK horse racing | £250,000 |
Irish and international horse racing with an SP | £100,000 |
Darts | £250,000 |
Formula 1 | £250,000 |
Cricket | £250,000 |
The Limits at FansBet are in line with some of the best betting sites in the industry. £500,000 is at the top end of the scale for major football events. In saying that, the likes of bet365 and William Hill lead the way by offering limits up to £2,000,000 – but these limits are rare.
Our table only shows the top UK sports, but they do have a comprehensive list within their betting rules. It’s easy to find and the limits are clearly listed.
Remember, these limits also apply on accumulator bets so if you’re potential winnings are higher, then you won’t receive anything above them. It might be worth changing your selections to ensure that you don’t go over the limit.
Bear in mind that these limits apply to a bet win so you can win more than this over a period.
Football Betting at FansBet

Football is the number one sport on FansBet. It is listed at the top of the sports list on the left-hand side, and you’ll also find handy ‘featured links’ there too. The featured links section will take you to today’s events and the most popular tournaments.
There are also regular ‘predict and win’ games available. You’ll find those listed in the sports section too. These are free-to-play games with a prize pot shared amongst winning players.
To win, you need to answer eight questions correctly. The questions will be related to a single event, such as the Community Shield. In this example the questions include:
- How many goals will Manchester City score?
- Over or under 2.5 goals?
- Who will lift the trophy?
To win, you need to answer all 8 correctly. It’s not easy, but it is free, and the prize pot can be as big as £10,000. It’s a nice little extra and one that makes betting on football more unique at FansBet.

Competitive Odds
Before placing a bet, you want to know that you are getting good value odds. The simplest way to do this is by comparing the odds with a couple of other bookmakers.
Let’s take an example between Leicester and Wolves:
Bookmaker | Number of Markets | 1X2 Margin |
---|---|---|
FansBet | 124+ | 5% |
William Hill | 513+ | 5% |
Unibet | 130+ | 5% |
888Sport | 110+ | 6% |
Here we can see that FansBet are competitive in the 1X2 markets. This is by far the most popular bet so it’s good to see that they match respected bookies.
Of course, taking a snapshot of a single market doesn’t mean that they are always competitive, or that they are for other markets in this match. We have checked on betting options such as over/under goals and can see that they are always around about the average to the top in terms of odds, so are satisfied that FansBet is competitive.
As you can also see, FansBet is offering over 100 markets, but William Hill has over 500. The latter provides far more than average, so if we compare without them, FansBet is doing well here.
We are looking at this match two weeks before it is played; most bookmakers will likely increase the number of markets closer to kick-off.
Platform
FansBet is hosted on technology provided by SBTech. Most betting sites, with the exceptions of 888Sport use a B2B provider for their betting technology. SBTech is widely respected with major bookmakers such as NetBet also making use of their services.
It is a secure platform that has won industry awards including ‘Innovation In In-Play’ at the 2105 EGR B2B awards which is an impressive accolade to win.
Furthermore, SBTech is licenced by the UKGC. This is a huge mark of trust and one that we’re happy to see.
In-Play Betting at FansBet

With a dedicated tab for live betting, it is easy to find what is available to bet on in-play at FansBet. We really like the sports are separated at the top as it’s useful for selecting the sport you want to bet on.
In terms of markets, we found a wide array of options and the odds were updating regularly. We placed a few bets, and they were only changed once while in our betslip. This is common for live betting as the odds move so often.
The overall usability of the in-play offering is excellent and one of the best we’ve come across. The results section is handy as it gives quick access to results if you want to check how your bet went, and it’s not something that is easy to find on other betting sites.
The event view also provides a live animation of the event you are following. For example, if it’s a football match you can see where the action is happening such as a dangerous free-kick. It’s basic, but it does provide some information.
Live Streaming
We couldn’t find any information on site about live streaming but after chatting with customer support, we can confirm that FansBet does offer it. In saying that, it is limited.
At present, it is available on UK horse racing and a few other events from time to time. And the stream only appears a few minutes before the race start time.
In comparison with other bookmakers, this is quite disappointing. Many offer live streaming for events across the globe including football, tennis and more.
To watch the streams, you’ll need to have a funded account, or have placed a bet within the previous 24 hours.
Pulse Bet
This feature is one of the most interesting at FansBet. It allows players to place quick bets on goals scored in football matches over three set periods of time.
It’s easy to understand and unique. Say you place a bet for a goal to be scored in the next 10 minutes. This will be split into three time periods. If your bet doesn’t land in the first third, the potential winnings increase in the second and are at the maximum amount in the third.
We enjoyed using this feature during testing. You can place a pulse bet on any match during regular time. We contacted support who confirmed it is available on all major European leagues, including European competitions, however, it won’t be every single game posted. It’s a unique feature that we haven’t come across before, and one we recommend trying out.
There are some additional terms for the Pulse Bet feature so be sure to read those to avoid disappointment.
FansBet Cash out Feature
Most bookmakers offer cash out now, so we were pleased to see it at FansBet. Not only do they offer cash out, but they have partial cash out too.
This gives players a lot of control over their bets. We tried it out and can say that we were offered around about what we expected every time in terms of an early payout. It was available on several sports and on accumulator bets. However, system bets are not included (this is normal).
The partial cashout also worked well. This is when you leave a part of your stake in the bet, and cash out the rest.
Add2Bet at FansBet
Furthermore, we found an ‘Add2Bet’ feature. This was excellent and is not something offered by many bookmakers.
It applies to open single bets and accumulators where at least one of the legs has yet been settled and where cash out is available.
Players can add to their existing bet by going to their betslip and select ‘Add2Bet’. From here, simply add another bet you would like to include.
The new stake once a leg is added is the value of the current cash out of the existing bet. So, it should be used wisely.
We really impressed with the cash out at FansBet. It gives players complete control and was easy to use.
Cash out is a great feature for getting paid out early, but bear in mind you will not be offered the entire potential winnings. You will only get those if you leave the bet on until the conclusion of your bet.
Deposit and Withdrawals at FansBet
Payment Method | Min/Max Withdrawals | Withdrawal Time |
---|---|---|
![]() | £10/£20 | 2-7 working days |
![]() | £10/£20 | 2-7 working days |
One of our biggest disappointments when researching for our FansBet review was the lack of payment options.
At the time of writing, players can only use their debit card to make a deposit into their account. This is far less than most other bookmakers. We contacted the customer service team who told us they are working on adding more in the future, so we will update this page if this happens.
Debit cards withdrawals can take some time with bookmakers, although some do offer instant withdrawals. However, they are especially long at FansBet. On the website they state that these can take up to 7 working days, this is on top of up to 48-hour processing time.
When you consider that many methods offer instant withdrawals, this is too long. We would like to see this improved.
In saying that there are no withdrawals fees applied which is good to see, as some bookmakers so add these on. However, it doesn’t make up for the lack of options and long withdrawal times.
As of April 2020 betting sites in the UK are not allowed to accept deposits via credit card.

You can place bets on FansBet from your mobile device directly and enjoy all of the features we’ve mentioned in our FansBet review. The site is very user friendly and is easy to use on any screen size.
The site is fully responsive meaning you get a great experience regardless if you’re on a small smartphone or a tablet.
The downside is that there is no dedicated FansBet app. Many betting sites in the UK promote both an iOS and Android app so it is a little disappointing not to see this available.
However, we enjoyed betting from our phone, and it gave a similar experience as that of the best betting apps, so it wasn’t terrible.
We used our iPhone and we were able to log in using finger ID, and Touch ID is an option for other devices too. This is something we recommend you use as it provides that extra layer of safety.

- Award winning app
- VIP options for all players
- Trusted payment methods

- Dedicated iOS and Android app
- Low minimum deposits
- Excellent welcome offer

- Highly rated app
- Betting exchange markets available
- Fast withdrawal times

Response time | Within 60 seconds on live chat, 48 hours email |

Live chat is available from 10 am – 10 pm at FansBet. While we’d prefer to see this 24/7 it’s still a reasonable time period.
We found that our chats were answered quickly, usually within one minute which was great, and the agent was highly knowledgeable. As we came across a few queries for our FansBet review we contacted several times and each time was happy with the outcome.
If you prefer to send an email, this is also an option. We tested it out and got a reply within 24 hours, although it does state it can take up to 48 hours. This is standard, especially for sites that promote live chat.
The FAQ section on site was also decent and provided good information on bonus rules and some sports questions too. It’s not the most comprehensive we’ve come across, but for basic queries, it could help.
User Experience
If you’ve read our FansBet review, you’ll already know that we rate the useability highly. This makes the overall user experience excellent as it is so easy to navigate.
We also like the bright sharp graphics which also make it easy on the eye.
In terms of other products on offer, there is a FansBet Casino too. It is a trusted casino promoting hundreds of slots, dozens of table games and an excellent live casino.
Overall, FansBet offers a good all-around user experience for its players.

Improvement Areas
We rate FansBet highly but there are a few areas in which we’d like to see it improve. The most notably being with payment methods. There are not enough options with only a debit card being accepted and this falls short of the best betting sites.
On top of that, the withdrawal times are longer than we expected and what we would like to see. It’s something we would definitely like to see improved.
In terms of live betting, FansBet provides above-average features, but they are lacking in live streams. Although they are available on horse racing, we would like to see this extended.
And finally, we would like to see an app brought to the app store. Of course, the mobile web version is easily accessible but the best betting sites offer dedicated apps.
Conclusion
In summary, we can say that FansBet is an exciting sportsbook. It has all the features we would expect and more.
In our FansBet review, we’ve shown why they are trusted and why we rate them as one of our top betting sites. Why not try it out for yourself.
